Oh, good point. Did I make the point in the essay about this being very hetero? I try to remember to do so. Anyway, I think most recent research says queer couples aren’t significantly more egalitarian than non-queer couples! Lots of speculation about why that might be, etc. But, the more transformative ideology might be the ones that break out of the dyad completely. Because something about dyads seems to gender one partner female no matter the sex or identity of the person in the role.
